Welcome back! It’s the fiftieth anniversary of the Apollo 11 mission and humanity’s first steps on the Moon. We kick off our first episode back from an extended hiatus by discussing the steps of the mission and some of the unsung heroes that got us to to the Moon.
And we follow that discussion right along to where we’re going next: back to the Moon. We talk about the motivation and potential for success of NASA’s Artemis missions to put humans back on the Moon and create a springboard to Mars. Enjoy!
In this episode we follow up on what exactly the payload will be for the second launch of the Falcon Heavy, review some interesting new data about gun accidents and NRA conventions, talk about the exciting discovery of Neanderthal cave drawings which predate any other known human petroglyphs in Europe, and discuss Jon Favreau being given the helm of an upcoming live action series in the ever-proliferating world of Star Wars. Enjoy!

In this episode we talk about the [really cool] launch of the SpaceX Falcon Heavy launch, what makes it such a remarkable event, and why there is some controversy behind it. We also chat about the newest Star Wars toys previewed at New York Toy Fair and what they might tell us about the Han Solo standalone film. Enjoy!

We’re back. We’re kicking off Season 2 of the Science [and/or] Fiction podcast with a long-overdue discussion of Star Wars: The Last Jedi. We talk in spoilery detail about our favorite and least favorite parts of the latest installment in the Star Wars franchise. If we haven’t said it enough already, this episode will contain plenty of spoilers for the film, so if you haven’t seen it yet we would recommend watching it first.
Sorry for the delay getting this episode up! We’re switching to a new platform for hosting our podcast, and we’ve been extremely busy with life and the holidays.
In this episode we follow up—briefly—on our discussion of gun violence in the previous episode, talk about two very strange objects in space, and discuss the controversial topic of Saudi Arabia making a robot a Saudi citizen.
